Anthology of the Human Soul is a small start-up project
conceived by a college student.
Origin
the idea for A-HS originated after reading a thread on the
/r9k/board of 4chan that asked users to post moments
in their lives where they felt closest to another human being,
whether they knew the other person or not; another asked
what was the meanest thing ever said to them. A huge
number of people responded and found solace in telling
and reading these stories. I decided that such solace should
not be limited to those on the imageboard and sought
out ways to bring this idea to the public and created
Anthologia to become a dedicated page to recording these
types of stories. If it were not for those two thread starters,
this project would not have come about; they must be
credited for giving me the idea.
Goal
There is no specific goal for this project other than to
pass the stories along for people to read and find what
they want in them. Hell, if we can make you cry, then
the job was done. If you want to contribute, send an email
in with your story and it will get posted. No editing or
censorship will be used on any story. All stories will be
be accepted as anonymous submissions unless you
request for your name to be left on. If you need help on
what exactly to write about, just look at previous
stories and at the ‘Contribute’ Page.
On PostSecret
It’s been pointed out that there are quite a few
similarities between the PostSecret project and this
one - they cannont be denied; however, I have only
been aware of the presence of PostSecret as a book
and was only told it was originally a blog by a friend
who frequents the site. This is in no way a copycat
idea and is simply an alternative way of learning about
the human mind.
